Case Study: Transformative Merger in the Healthcare Industry

Overview:
In a landmark deal that would reshape the healthcare landscape, two healthcare providers were announcing a merger to create one of the largest integrated healthcare providers in the world. This strategic acquisition would enable the combined entity to enhance patient care, expand service offerings, and achieve operational efficiencies at scale.

Client Challenge:
The buying entity needed critical assistance in getting the announcement out to not only nearly 200,000 employees, but also the media and other interested parties in combination with a slide presentation detailing the merger. An additional challenge was that they needed to make this announcement as soon as possible after the deal was reached, however, the details between the buyer and target were prolonging the final agreement so the announcement would be a moving date and time.

Chorus Call Solution:
A structured merger and acquisition (M&A) announcement strategy and conference event was implemented by the Chorus Call team with three key components:

  1. Audio Webcast with Synced Slide Presentation: This allowed the Hosts of the conference to speak to several different sections of the slide deck, passing control between one another highlighting different aspects and sections of the acquisition.
  2. DiamondPass Pre-Registration: This solution allowed the buying entity to have complete transparency in not only how many participants were planning to join the event before it occurred, but also their identity, firm name and contact information.
  3. Dynamic Customer Service: As with nearly all M&A deals, the announcement isn’t final – until is final. Our team worked through the night and weekend to be an advocate for the buying entity. We allowed them to concentrate on the business deal at hand while allowing the technological aspect of the announcement to us.

Impact:
The merger resulted in a healthcare powerhouse with a wider network of hospitals and outpatient centers, improved cost efficiency, and expanded healthcare access for patients, while the announcement Chorus Call supported nearly 10,000 interested parties that successfully took part in this landmark event.
